Professional pneumatic equipment: safety and certification matter

Pneumatic sprayers and foamers are not simple containers: they work with compressed air and pressure. For this reason, professional equipment must be designed, manufactured and controlled according to precise safety standards.

Two machines may look similar in a photo, but real differences are found in safety, durability, certifications, spare parts availability and long-term reliability.

Warning: with pressurized equipment, safety is critical. Poorly designed or non-compliant tanks and components may create serious risks for operators and working environments.

What to check before buying pneumatic equipment

Safety

The tank operates under pressure. Certification, valves, technical documentation and manufacturing quality are essential.

Durability

Material thickness, welding quality and component reliability determine the real service life of the equipment.

Spare parts availability

Professional equipment should be repairable. Hoses, seals, lances and fittings should remain available over time.

Professional use

Industrial environments require reliable equipment designed for continuous and safe operation.

Professional certified equipment or cheap generic product?

Aspect Professional certified equipment Cheap or generic product
Safety Designed to work under pressure, with controls and documentation. Information is often incomplete or difficult to verify.
Certification PED 2014/68/UE compliance and certificates available. Certifications may be unclear, incomplete or not comparable.
Materials Materials selected according to the application: painted steel, internally coated steel, AISI 304 or AISI 316L stainless steel. Materials and thicknesses are not always clearly declared.
Spare parts Spare parts and service available over time. Spare parts may be difficult to find or unavailable.
Real cost Higher initial investment, but better safety, durability and operational continuity. Low purchase price, but possible shorter service life, downtime and full replacement.
In short: two products can look similar, but they may not be equivalent. The real difference is found in construction quality, safety and long-term reliability.

PED certification, TÜV Austria Italia and Accredia

Pneumatic sprayers and foamers use compressed air. The tank is therefore a pressurized component and must meet specific safety requirements.

Lanzoni Techclean manufactures professional Made in Italy pneumatic equipment with reference to PED 2014/68/UE, Module A2 and CE marking 0066.

TÜV Austria Italia

TÜV Austria Italia

Lanzoni Techclean products are certified by TÜV Austria Italia for compliance with the PED 2014/68/UE Directive for pressure equipment.

Accredia - Italian Accreditation Body

Accredia

The reference to Accredia strengthens the traceability and reliability of the certification system used by accredited bodies.

Why does it matter?
With pressurized equipment, it is not enough that the machine simply works. It must be safe, documented and suitable for professional use.

Full certificates are available on the Certifications page.

Materials and chemical compatibility

The correct material depends on the working environment and on the detergent or chemical product used. Not every chemical is compatible with every tank, seal, hose, lance or fitting.

Lanzoni Techclean manufactures pneumatic equipment in painted steel, internally coated steel, AISI 304 stainless steel and AISI 316L stainless steel.

Important: aggressive chemicals and chlorine-based products may damage stainless steel, seals, hoses, lances, fittings and internal components. Chemical compatibility should always be verified before use.

A low price may hide other costs

A cheap product may cost less at the beginning, but it can become more expensive over time if it breaks, if spare parts are unavailable or if the whole machine must be replaced.

In professional cleaning and industrial applications, downtime, operator safety, real service life and after-sales support must also be considered.

The right question is not only “how much does it cost?”
The most important question is: “Is this equipment safe, certified and suitable for my real working conditions?”
